Abstract Florals in Watercolor - October 14, 1 pm to 5 p.m.
Beautiful Vivid Florals - November 18, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Seascapes and Landscapes in Watercolor - December 8, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Polishing Your Watercolor Techniques, 3 day workshop, July 17 thru July 19, 2019, 9 am. to 4 pm.
Students will complete several small paintings while addressing and refining new and established techniques. Subjects will include: Day 1- Still Life with a focus on fruit and pattern, Day 2 – Landscapes incorporating water and nature, Day 3 – Fur and Feathers. Techniques will include backgrounds, glazing, composition, negative painting tips, color selection, and wet into wet. There will be short demos followed by lots of painting time, and plenty of direct attention from the instructor.
Dabbling In Acrylics - One day workshop, July 20, 2019, 9 am. to 4 pm.
Looking to experiment in a new medium? Acrylics are a fun and exciting medium that encompass the fast drying of watercolor with the beauty and vividness of oils without the chemicals. Students will learn underpainting, glazing, color mixing, and opaque media techniques along with basics such as composition and blocking. Value studies will be an important part of this class. Come with an open mind and an enthusiasm for trying something new.
